What are
Vocational Courses?

The courses listed in this section either train you for a specific job, e.g. hairdressing, or give you work-related qualifications in a specific vocational area, e.g. health & social care. Assessments are both written (assignments) and practical.

Vocational courses are best suited to people who are practical learners and are a great way to gain experience in the field you are interested in. Although vocational qualifications qualify you and prepare you for a job or career, they can also lead on to higher level study. If you need advice and support about which course to pick, speak to a careers adviser a teacher or tutor or a member of the Admissions Team at the school sixth forms or colleges to which you intend to apply.
