The vast majority of our Sixth Form students progress to university, with 93% securing their first-choice destination. We are proud to have achieved the highest number of Russell Group placements in the borough, and maintain a consistent track record of securing places at Oxbridge and medical schools.
We also support students who choose alternative pathways. Haydon has a strong reputation for placing students on prestigious higher-level degree apprenticeships with top employers including Coca-Cola, Amazon, Transport for London, Skanska, Warner Brothers, the Civil Service, the Ministry of Justice, British Airways, and leading law and accountancy firms.
Students benefit from a personalised programme of academic and pastoral support, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive. Our Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) results are a testament to this, with 72% of students achieving an A* grade. We also run a summer term Work Experience Programme for Year 12 to give students valuable insight into the world of work.
We are committed to developing our students far beyond academic achievement. With over 40 extracurricular clubs, regular careers evenings, higher education events, and guest speakers, our Sixth Form offers a wide range of enrichment opportunities. Students are also encouraged to take part in MOOCs and our unique Haydon Challenge, which fosters leadership and community involvement.
Haydon is also proud to run the largest Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme in Hillingdon, supporting students in building resilience, independence and teamwork.
Our passionate teaching staff, expert subject specialists, and dedicated Sixth Form pastoral team ensure that students are well supported throughout their journey. Many of our students have been part of our school community since Year 7 and choose to stay with us through to Year 13—a testament to the inclusive, ambitious, and supportive environment we offer.
